That exchange embodies “teoemmy”, a musical duo and married couple.
Morgan Eva and Theophilus Onime wed in June of 2020, five years after meeting at Carnegie Mellon University as college students. As newlyweds, they wrote and performed little songs and raps for friends and led church worship virtually. About six months later, they decided to take it up a notch and create something of their own.
In the most literal sense, teoemmy is the phonetic spelling of their initials. T-O-M-E.
Teoemmy’s sound is a blend of the steady groovy pulse of Hip-Hop, the salient thud of Dance-Pop, the slurring synths of EDM and the experiential chords of R&B, Blues and Gospel. Their lyrics are centered around lessons learned about life, growth, emotion, love, and forgiveness in the context of relationships with others and relationship with Jesus.

Ese intercambio encarna “teoemmy”, un dúo musical y matrimonio.
Morgan Eva y Theophilus Onime se casan Junio de 2020, cinco años después de conocerse en al Universidad Carnegie Mellon. Como recién casados, escribieron y interpretaron pequeñas canciones y raps para amigos y dirigieron la adoración de la iglesia virtualmente. Alrededor de seis meses después, decidieron retomarlo y crear algo propio.
En el sentido más literal, teoemmy es la ortografía fonética de sus iniciales.
El sonido de Teoemmy es una mezcla del pulso groovy constante del Hip-Hop, el ruido sordo de Dance-Pop, los sintetizadores de EDM y los acordes experienciales de R&B, Blues y Gospel. Sus letras están centradas en torno a lecciones aprendidas sobre la vida, el crecimiento, la emoción, el amor y perdón en el contexto de las relaciones con los demás y la relación con Jesús.
