Of Shadows And Lights, abbreviated OSAL, was born in 2018 from the Italian singer-songwriter/producer Angelo Pitone’s idea. He’s graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Music and awarded with distiction at the UWS. Music, lyrics andphotography are the poetry that tells the story of good and evil, of who we are as human beings. It’s about the hidden undertones of our souls and this is the concept behind the project: of shadows and lights.
With his latest single Universal Thing, Angelo built a personal and rich sound based on interwoven synch and guitar sections combined with groove-based drum patterns,
inspired by most influent drummers of the past. Of Shadows And Lights has a sound
reminiscent of rock bands like Muse, Nothing But Thieves, Led Zeppelin, Alkaline Trio,
Oasis, and As Tall As Lions. Universal Thing was written, produced and mixed by
Angelo, and mastered by Giovanni Versari (Muse, Nie Cester, Calibro35, Negramaro).
This song is both a hymn and an invitation to preserve our Mother Earth and intense
and passionate lyrics support it. “It’s about me and you. It’s about people and future
generations. It’s time co make a move” he said. Universal Thing is the fourth single taken
from the upcoming debut album Almost Prophetic Visions And Thoughts.
Of Shadows And Lights’ music has been appreciated and broadcast by indie webradio such as ‘Radio Wigwam’, ‘Lonely Oak Radio’, TIORR, and ‘ZooTap Radio’.
At the end of 2019 “Am I Still Alive?” become a part of a compilation called “The
