Jack G is the songwriter, singer, and main producer behind Hvmmingbird. He is the main producer because he write/sing all of the songs and almost everything you hear comes from his computer but he´s really grateful to work with a few incredible producers/artists that are huge in the process of completion.
He originally started off singing and playing bass when he was 12, and was in a few bands over the years playing bass, guitar, and/or fronting before creating this project. He has to give his father a lot of credit for his love and understanding of music history, he was constantly sharing important music with me but raised me with Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and Bob Dylan as my holy trinity. Jack idolized frontmen like Mick Jagger or Steven Tyler’s freedom and that turned into my buddies and he convincing themselves they could bring back the dangerous hard rock of the 60’s-80’s. With leather pants and Les Pauls they played infamous clubs around LA from the Whisky a Go Go and the Roxy to the El Rey.
After playing over 200 shows with that band and a couple others before graduating high school, He moved to New Orleans. New Orleans opened my ass up. He was suddenly grooving to all of these previous forms of music he didn’t listen to before and soon he realized there was just good and bad music. It was then He stopped caring what genre a sound belonged in with his own music, did it serve the song? That’s all that mattered. No pun intended He has always been a jack of all trades for better or for worse, but He believe that is what makes Hvmmingbird unique. He pulls from those childhood inspirations, He pulls from the power of electronic, from that time spent in New Orleans, and from artists ranging from Kendrick Lamar to Kevin Parker. Over the past few years He has been spending his time honing his craft and writing, building up a stockpile of material for this project. He has dozens of originals that made the cut to be released and they are all a bit different but they are authentic and that’s what he care about. He tries to incorporate all his loves into it without getting in the way. His hope with Hvmmingbird is that people can hear it and relate to the music. He has been working hard, he has an incredible team, and he can’t wait to show what they have in store for the future.
This Country Bleeds was an attempt to vent political/economic frustration. He knows people outside of the US don’t look at America so fondly but there are still flag waving morons who are so ignorant they are hurting themselves and those around them all while screaming USA USA. The slide guitar you hear on This Country Bleeds is directly from the country music that is often stigmatized with that culture. He thought the impact of the bass on the chorus contrasted with the slide guitar was an interesting way to illustrate the dynamics that make America beautiful while tearing it apart. When he was writing the chorus He got to “what this country needs” and got stumped because there is so much that is wrong and He had to sum it up in like 12 syllables. A day or so later, this country’s division-arguably leading to civil war- bailed me out of the stump and He realized it all boiled down to the fact that even if He could get everything into that line it wouldn’t matter, because Americans aren’t open to the full spectrum of information right now. Under the guitar solo in the bridge He collected a series of political interviews from politicians on the right and left and placed all of the liberals on the left and all of the republicans on the right (Trump’s samples pan left and right because he is a flip flopping piece of garbage). If you listen with one ear at a time with headphones you can almost make out a clear picture of what the left is saying and the same goes for the right, but together they get lost in a mess and wash.

This Country Bleeds fue un intento de desahogar la frustración política / económica.
