From Portland, Oregon, he has been writing and releasing music by himself for almost three years, but he has been playing music since he was about 7 years old (he is 18 now). He started his main project, Starving Writer, in the beginning of 2018 at the age of 15. He released his first two albums in April and May of 2018, and he has tried to release an album every few months over the last couple of years. Without anyone else to really play music with, he had to learn how to compose each part of the song myself, starting with guitars, then bass, drums, keyboards, vocals, etc. and self-record each part to create the sound he wanted.
Earlier this year, he released the first album of mine composed fully in this way, Remember, but felt it was a different style than his older music. To separate the two, he made his second project, The Abandonments (also just him) as more of a mainstream rock sound, and the first album from that project will be released pretty soon on Bandcamp. He has a keen interest in history and try to weave that into my songwriting to create something unique and personal to himself and his research. Right now he is mostly just writing more music for both projects and should have some new stuff very soon!
