Gilan – Twice

I am a singer/songwriter living in the outskirts of London. Having grown up in the Middle East under much stricter conditions, as soon as I moved back to the UK I have been making music, performing in various bands. I have been performing my solo music on various acoustic circuits for some time, and now I am producing and recording it all to share with the world. This life forces me to tightrope walk somewhere between the gentle calm and a pit of despair everyday. When I am through I intend to wring it by its neck and force it into song. I hope you will join me on this journey.

Twice is about meeting people with toxic behavioural traits that you have encountered before, and all of the emotional upheaval that comes with it. It’s as though life realised you weren’t through learning a lesson the first time around. This self produced track falls somewhere between alternative and pop folk.

Soy un cantante y compositor que vive en las afueras de Londres. Habiendo crecido en el Medio Oriente bajo condiciones mucho más estrictas, tan pronto como regresé al Reino Unido me puse a hacer música, actuando en varias bandas. He estado interpretando mi música en solitario en varios circuitos acústicos durante algún tiempo, y ahora lo estoy produciendo y grabando todo para compartirlo con el mundo. Esta vida me obliga a caminar por la cuerda floja en algún lugar entre la suave calma y un pozo de desesperación todos los días. Cuando haya terminado, pretendo retorcerlo por el cuello y obligarlo a cantar. Espero que te una a mí en este viaje.

Twice se trata de conocer a personas con rasgos de comportamiento tóxicos que hayas encontrado antes y toda la agitación emocional que conlleva. Es como si la vida se diera cuenta de que no habías terminado de aprender una lección la primera vez. Esta pista de producción propia se ubica en algún lugar entre el folk alternativo y el pop.
